Can I request a same day pick
up? |
|
We do offer same day service on some occasions, however this is not
guaranteed. Shipping a vehicle is a lot more involved than shipping household items. In many
cases, we are able to find a carrier with available space, but in some cases, this is impossible
due to intricacies of the car freight industry, such as rack space availability, weight
distribution and hundreds of other factors. What we can promise is, we will do our best to
accommodate your schedule. Can I use a car cover for my vehicle while it's being transported?

Transport Nation is a
“Broker”. What does that mean? |
|
Transport Nation is a licensed and bonded freight broker that
contracts U.S. Auto carriers directly. Instead of doing research on which carrier best fits your
needs, budget and timeframe, you can contact a broker who will have done this research in
advance, and will have weeded out the “bad” ones through years of experience in
working this particular field. Brokers also eliminate the red tape, and take care of the
paperwork needed to transport a vehicle nationwide.

Is the service terminal to
terminal, or door to door? |
|
This is completely up to you, we offer both types of pickup and delivery. If
you're unsure what you need, give us a call and we'll be more than happy to go through your
current situation and offer the optimal solution.

Can I use a car cover for my
vehicle while it's being transported? |
|
At first glance this would seem like a smart thing to do, however it is
extremely counter productive, and not allowed by regulation. The best argument against this
practice is the damage to the paint of your vehicle that would result in having the car cover
flapping against it for hundreds, and in some cases thousands of miles.

 |
How do I prepare my vehicle
for transport? |
|
Remove any personal belongings from the vehicle, make sure your hand your
truck driver the key, and due to weight restrictions, make sure there isn't an excess amount of
gas in the tank. A good practice is about ¼ tank full.

 |
 |
Are you insured? What if the truck driver damages my vehicle? |
|
Of course your vehicle will be fully covered under the carrier's commercial
insurance. To avoid headaches, we strongly recommend you take pictures of your vehicle right
before it is loaded onto the transportation truck, so that in case of damage, they can be used
as proof of your vehicle's condition prior to transportation. Cosmetic damage is extremely rare
however, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

 |
Can I pack anything in my vehicle? |
|
No. This is no longer allowed under current Department of Transportation
regulations, which include weight limits, and liability protections. Vehicle transportation is
strictly that, vehicle transportation.
